Hiring Millwright Mechanics!
Millwright Mechanics are responsible for basic maintenance and repairs on plant machines. They are responsible for cleaning and lubricating machinery, performing basic diagnostic tests, checking performance, and testing damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary. Maintenance workers must follow machine specifications and adhere to maintenance schedules.
They perform machinery repairs and assemblies, using hoists and moving equipment to replace defective parts. They position the pieces that need to be assembled. Their job requires a thorough knowledge of the load bearing capabilities of the equipment they use as well as an understanding of blueprints and technical instructions.
In addition to requiring a high school diploma or equivalent, the minimum requirements for these positions are:
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Minimum of three (3) years directly-related experience as a millwright technician petrochemical, refinery, pulp/paper or related industry. Must be proficient in repairing industrial pumps, turbines, compressors, and gearboxes
Position works a day schedule, 4 days a week,10-hours per day.
Must be able to acquire a TWIC card.
